This is a quick initial post about my Gen. Laser Prime repaint as RID Scourge/Black Convoy.
On the left of this image is the front of the truck mode with the paint apps. removed; this was achieved using the isopropyl alcohol method as described here and when compared to the right-hand half you can easily see that Hasbro didn't skimp on the paint for once! I don't know what the deal with those flames is, possibly trying to tie the toy in with the Movieverse Prime?
So what was this in aid of? Well by taking the pieces back to bare plastic, you have an even surface to paint onto. Believe it or not, the outline of those flames would be visible through a coat of primer as they are raised up ever-so-slightly from the surface of the plastic.
